BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world. BNIoffers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly, business referrals. BNI was started in 1985 by Ivan R. Misner, PhD.
The
mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a
structured, positive, and professional "word-of-mouth" program that
enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with
quality business professionals.
PWN is the Monterey Peninsula's largest organization of professional
women. PWN was founded in 1983 when five women joined together to
establish a network for women in business. Today, PWN is a dynamic
organization of approximately 200+ women representing a wide spectrum
of professions. Our membership is comprised of entrepreneurs,
professionals, employees, and retirees. Our members look first within
the network for products or services they need, and actively promote
the businesses of fellow members.
The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce promotes business through member
services, educational programs, cooperative
partnerships, and legislative advocacy that
balances prosperity with the quality of
life.The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit
corporation solely supported by its membership.
Members include business owners, managers and
professionals. Members invest in the
organization to support group efforts to make
the Monterey Peninsula a better place to do
business. The Chamber makes
referrals for member businesses, acts as a
resource for community information, provides
informational pamphlets and brochures about
starting a business, offers free SCORE (Service
Corp. of Retired Executives) counseling to
business entrepreneurs and has marketing
materials available to help the sales
professional.
WomenCertified was created by Delia Passi, the
author of "Winning the Toughest Customer: The Essential Guide to
Selling to Women", a recognized leader in marketing and selling to
women and former Publisher of Working Woman and Working Mother
magazines. Through her interaction with female consumers, Delia
recognized the need for educating sales and service professionals on
the unique path women follow to make purchasing decisions. Today
Delia's company, MedeliaCommunications is the leader in training
Fortune 500 companies on how to increase sales among women and couples
and she is the most sought after speaker worldwide on selling to women.
Finally Delia is bringing her proprietary training and marketing
insight to all sales and service professionals as well as business
owners.
